Then I picked up "Squark," named for a characteristic chirp-noise she used to make. She's an absolute A-hole, and after almost 2 years with us, STILL refuses to let us anywhere near her. I think her egg got scrambled when she was pretty young...
I adopted Dipper from the local SPCA. He had been found outdoors at a construction site by some construction workers. He's a hoot. (Ba dum tss). As the only boy in the kezflock, he gets away with a lot. He had come from a pretty fly (ba dum tss) household from what I could tell, and had really been acclimated to human contact. I tried to find his original owners on my own without much luck.
Last to the flock was Fifi! ...not really a name I'd pick out personally, but that's how she came to us! She and Dipper have teamed up and like to cause trouble together.
Birds are cool.
Catch you WEDNESDAY with a new What it Takes page! <3
First, I finished that scabbard, barbarian style.
Second, in the lab, I've been doing a TON of immunofluorescent imaging of osteoclasts (cells that eat up bone as part of normal, healthy, "remodeling"). I liked this specific image because for some reason, the cell looks really spherical even though it was grown on a 2D surface.
Third, I grew a mini mushroom farm! It was delicious.
Lastly, I started dabbling in watercolors! I did a quick painting of one of my parakeets.
On Friday, come back for more random things! Probably my pets. :)
Comics resume NEXT WEDNESDAY. Thanks for your patience!
In all seriousness, some of you are RIGHT on the money with the agent in question. To be revealed on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th, because as I have announced and announced, I am out of town next week! No one has yet sent in any filler during my absence, so I guess I shall attempt to amuse you with some side projects, and maybe some more links to other comics. I have a few more new SpiderForest members to announce, but it's going to have to wait until I have a full keyboard. Catch you in a bit, my lovelies! *cackles*
