Only $10 to go for a Tuesday update next week! And guess which characters get to see each other face to face in a few pages? Oh yes! Good stuff's happening next week, extra pages make all of it come faster too. Use the Chip-in below to get even more updates. There are still 2 more Tuesdays open for extra updates this month, as well as Thursdays, don't forget! Please remember that W/F are the normal update days for this comic, and anything more than that is funded by YOU AWESOME PEOPLE. There is no way I could take the time to update so often without your support.
Regarding today's page: I had a lot of fun deciding how Colbey was going to contact A SIT-E in APPLEYS. I have to admit though, of the card reader, the shack, the countdown clock, the laptop AND the notes, my favorite random detail is that program Colbs is accessing is called "Satlite," NOT "Satellite."
Also, FYI, "Escapist" has come up before, and is the title of Arc 11. I wonder to whom it refers... Enjoy that tidbit!
Check out what came in the mail on Monday! Yup, the scratchboard from Cristina Penescu arrived safe and sound, thank you all for your help! She has also been paid the remainder of her fee.
The SpiderForest comic of the week is Precocious! It's rare for me to come across such a snarky, funny comic that is also work safe. Precocious follows a bunch of kids waaaay too smart for their own good. There are explosions, lots of explosions. Try it from the most recent story arc here and see if you like it! This is the type of comic you can jump in pretty much anywhere, another aspect of it I love.
Last Sunday I was invited to be a guest on the Webcast Beacon Podcast, hosted by Fesworks, Coelasquid and Mark Savary, with co-guest Tom Brazelton. The edited version isn't up yet, but the show was entitled "Ending your Webcomic." No worries, What it Takes is far from over. It'll be half done at the end of Arc 10. You can listen to the interview here!
As always, thanks so much for your support of me/this comic/Colbey and Peter's lives, etc. Without you guys, I freely admit I'd be in some hot water. Every month, somehow I manage to pay all my bills, and without this comic it would not be even near possible. So, thanks <3
