And yeah, Colbs has had practice. Girl does what she needs to do, not that she's happy about it.
The SpiderForest comic of the week is Chirault! (Sorry Varethane, it's been a crazy week or I'd have gotten this up sooner). So, in case you've forgotten, The Comic of the Week feature is to highlight awesome fellow SpiderForest comics! We are a pretty chill collective so we don't make too much of the name, but it's still important, and we like readers to check out the rest of the comics offered here (the dropdown at the top right of your screen as the full list!).
Chirault is the story of Kiran, a demon hunter who is a demon himself. He is accompanied by the hyper, lovable Teeko, a young girl-demon who was accidentally shrunken to tiny-tiny size. Kiran is the only demon who is also a demon hunter, and he has to put up with idiots who distrust him while at the same time not being killed by the forces he hunts. He's a nice guy! Just 'cause he's got a crown of horns and goes insane around certain magic doesn't make him a bad guy! Check it out, I've been a fan for quite awhile now.
Do you like these M/W/F What it Takes updates? I am definitely willing to extend these monday updates into MAY with a little incentive. I shouldn't say "incentive" because it's more like "necessity." I need to eat. As do my dogs. And bills/gas prices at this moment are over-freaking-whelming me. If you guys can help me out, I will update as much as necessary next month.
I will say that I have finished scripting Arc 10: Underhanded. It's 44 pages long (double length), packed with awesomeness, and I CAN'T WAIT to start it. Some previews are up in the forum.
Every $20 "unlocks" an update in May. We'll start with Monday updates, and move to open days if the meter hits more than $80. Updates for April of course continue M/W/F until the end of the month regardless of any amount raised, since The Proposal funds covered the entire month.
The readers for this comic are pretty damn awesome, and I hope I don't come across as needy, whiny, or entitled. I have no desire to milk anyone. But I'm pretty sure you guys LIKE this comic, and I hope that $5 or so bucks for a product you like isn't excessive. Heck, it's basically a candy bar or two. So, if you can, it's extremely appreciated, since my fridge is empty. If you can't, that's well and good, I <3 you for reading anyway.
And I keep forgetting to link this, but Canterrain started a TVtropes page for WiT. If you're one of those people who knows The Tropes and how to work The Wiki, feel free to add to it!
